New hand made magnetically coupled stirring base for any generator setup.
Single speed at 30 RPM
Uses very strong Neodymium magnets in both the spinner and on the disk. [Keeps stirring even 2 or 3 inches above the surface]
This is technology that is has been used by laboratories for a very long time.
I've been looking for an affordable unit for years. The cheapest I could find starts at around $80 + S&H and its slowest speed is probably too fast [Hanna Instruments]
Due to the low RPM [very hard to do, BTW] this stirrer can't stir too fast, yet is enough to stir a gallon of water with only 3 beads.
4 beads makes a cool wiggling arch but can sometimes flop off if the jar bottom is really curved.
There are nicer looking Teflon lab spinners available, but they are pricey and not necessary...and they don't work as well. [Stick "lab" on any commercially available item and add a zero or two to the price..Know what I mean?]
This is what they look like![]()
